This implies the need to implement impact measures, tending to increase food production by 70% worldwide. In this plan, developing countries have a determining role, with a minimum expectation of doubling their current production.
On the other hand, it has been demonstrated that the revitalization of the primary sector, is a key factor for the economic transformation of the countries. Recent examples are China, Taiwan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and other fast-growing Asian economies; and more closely, in South American countries such as Brazil, Peru and Chile.
Likewise, sustainable development should be pursued through the generation of economic, environmental and social benefits, with projects that go beyond the financial aspect, in alignment with management schemes that consider and apply bioeconomics.
